October 6: “Visiting Our Ancestors”, Costumed interpreters guide a tour through Prairie du Chien’s historic cemeteries.  The tour begins with the Old French Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in existence in the upper Mississippi Valley, and ends at the Brisbois Cemetery atop a bluff overlooking Prairie du Chien.  Admission fee. November 3: Servant Supper, A late afternoon hands-on cooking workshop for adults that takes place in the mansion kitchen and preservation house. November 10: Kids in a Victorian Kitchen, Bring your childern into a working Victorian kitchen and learn about yesteryear with lots of food and fun. This hands-on cooking workshop for children entering grades 3-8 takes kids back in time by using the utensils, recipes, and technology of the 1890's to make cookies and lemonade in our restored Victorian kitchen. The workshop also includes a top-to-bottom tour of the Villa Louis from the attic to the basement. Reservations required.
